Hey,
It's been two months since the last update. The book is about to go to the printers and I reckon we're on track for a October delivery for non-US backers.
US backers will possibly be a bit delayed, as we will likely be attempting to time the UK to US freight of these books to happen at the same time as the various Orbital Blues: Afterburn print runs so that we can ship an entire shipping container of books at once rather than two half container loads.
Backerkit will be coming *soon*, as we're currently attempting to finalise our shipping rates. When projects get this big, small mistakes in rates can be incredibly expensive for us and we want to avoid those risks.
I'll keep you all updated.

New Art To Show Off, More Stuff Coming Soon

Hello everyone!
It's been a busy few months!
We’re in the final stages of editing now, the layout is complete and the book is off having its pre-press proofs and last touch ups. We expect the PDF to be in your hands within the next couple of weeks at most.
A Backerkit pre-order and add-on page will be coming soon. The team is working on building it, getting you shipping details as fast and accurate as possible. Expect to see that by the end of the month!
David Schirduan of Technical Grimoire is almost finished with his Gardens of Ynn online generator. Just porting it over to the SoulMuppet site and running a few test runs. This generator will be available to anyone and makes running this depth-crawl adventure even easier. For a preview of what this is going to look like, head over to the Stygian Library online generator for his previous work.
Here’s some new art we had Bones to fill in same gaps in the book. It’s real god dang pretty.
Some classic monster tropes here with the Emerald Serpent, alongside one of the Empty Robed Ones, sinister reminds of the Sidhe.

I realised this morning I've not made an update since we funded and I want to apologise to that, I'll be more communicative going forward. For now, we're just working on the book and you'll here more when there is stuff to show off, things I need you to do or things to give you (like books and PDFs).

Generator, New Art and Stygian FAQs

Generator
We said we weren’t going to do any stretch goals, and we aren’t, but I’m going to give you some more cool stuff for FREE. Some of you may remember David Schirduan of Technical Grimoire’s Stygian Library generator that we did during the last project. Here’s a link.
David has kindly offered to make another generator for Ynn. We’re paying him to do this, and then port both of them over to the SoulMuppet website. This will be available for free online for everyone to use (although it will make more sense if you own the book).
This is live and happening right, we’re doing it. I’ll be sending the manuscript to David tonight.
New Art and Layout
We’ve got some beautiful new art from RiotBones to share with y’all.
Starting off with a personal favourite of ours: some MUSHROOM FOLK!

We have also completed the first draft of layout and you can see a bunch more new art in situ. This is great work from Mina and Bones and I’m loving how this is coming together.

Stygian Library Reprint
We’ve had some questions from backers about the reprint of Stygian Library. A few clarifications:
First, we won’t be updating the layout at all. We’re very happy with it.
Second, we will fix typos in the book before we go to print. If you are aware of any typos in the book please email them to [email protected] and I’ll get them fixed before we go to print.
Thirdly, we’ve only got about 300 of the old black and silver covers left, and we’ll keep selling them as legacy stock on the store. If you would prefer one, we’ll include them as an add-on on BackerKit.

We Funded (Woah)

Hey
It's been a few days since we launched and we funded incredibly quickly. In something like 20 minutes, in fact. We're tremoundously happy all you're joining us here on this journey into the Gardens of Ynn (and the Stygian Library).
We've had some questions about stretch goals, and I'm afraid we're not doing any! The last 3 or 4 SoulMuppet projects have got really caught up in stretch goals and add-ons, and we're super keen to avoid this. Ynn is meant to be an incredibly simple project, and we want to get it in your hands as soon as possible. We're waiting on the last 6 illustrations, and then the text will be cleaned up and the layout finished, then the book will be in your hands.
There's a real non-zero chance we'll have the PDF ready for you before the project even finishes!
